The TI isnt calculating in BODMAS - its using reverse POLISH where the operator comes last , 3+7 /2 is written 3,7,+,2,/
Its an old and highly efficient method and still used in stack programs... and u dont need to press "=" |

| I think the TI is considering it to be a fraction bar instead of a division sign. Order of operations says to do top and bottom of fraction bar separate then divide. If you go by on the Casio then order of operations is correct. All about how you type it in. |

| The Problem with Casio is, that the term is not precise. One treats it as 48 and two times the bracket. The other thinks it's 48 halfs, which equals 24. Since there is actually no bracket before the 2 in this form, you have to assume, that it's 48 halfs multiplied with the bracket, which means 12, so 288 would be correct. If there was a bracket before the 2, you would divide as the TI did. |

| 5485: casio is right. 48/2(9+3) becomes 48/2*12 becomes 24*12. The B in BEDMAS only deals with INSIDE the brackets |
