| I really wish people took a little more time to study the law before they freak out about incidents like the officer that tazed that guy. First of all, the man was speeding, which however minor, is a violation of the law. If the officer uses discretion and gives him a ticket, the offender must sign the ticket. Almost all officers have a SOP to arrest anyone who refuses to sign a citation. Therefore, no matter how much you disagree, the officer was NOT out of line with his conduct. Also, the officer does not have to read him his rights unless he wants to interrogate the offender about any of his behavior or actions (which an officer hardly ever questions an arrested offender in the link provided). I'm not saying I agree with what happened, just that people study their law a little before they spout off, and bad mouth people that are out there putting their lives on the line everyday to protect us. |
