| I noticed the website is using a blue background, and I think we need to correct that. Personally, I prefer green, which in this case is fortunate because green is also objectively the correct color. I understand that design is sometimes described as “subjective,” but that was presumably before I saw this particular shade of blue. Green would make the site feel more welcoming, more professional, more modern, and, frankly, more aligned with what I personally believe this site should be trying to accomplish. I’d recommend changing it before we spend too much time debating alternatives that are not green. Going forward, I think it would be helpful if everyone considered how these design decisions affect the broader internet, particularly the part of the broader internet that I don't seem to know exists. |
