And a final comment. It's quite funny and ironic that Trump is yelling "stop counting votes; you're counting false votes". The irony is twofold:
(1) There is no formal evidence of tampering with the election and that any votes were cast after polls closed.
(2) If counting stops now, incomplete, as Trump is asking, he has lost the election. Trump needs counting to continue to completion, because the only small hope he has of winning is if he gets more votes!
(And of course, no politician, sitting president, or person can request that vote counting stop. This would be another of those "not so subtle nuances" Trump seemingly fails to understand.) |

| A key point to underline regarding my comments (below) on the American election: the polls are closed and were closed at the time AP and others started reporting results. So, even if there is bias in the press, this bias cannot affect the outcome. Trump would be wise to recognize this not so subtle and important "nuance". |

It seems Georgia and Pennsylvania are now leaning Biden whereas yesterday they leaned Trump. Ostensibly, victory edges closer to Biden.
Associated Press (AP) claim impartiality and accuracy, none-the-less, they have called states won where lots of counting remains, or where the race is close and enough counting remains to flip the state. Arizona, Nevada, New York, California, and Washington are examples, and so are the aforementioned Georgia and Pennsylvania.
For predictions, it's likely AP uses traditional statistical methods, modern artificial intelligence, and historical records. Still, not only must predictions be impartial and accurate, they must have the appearance of this. I see how Trump (someone who at times fails to understand nuances) thinks the election appears false, but he shouldn't blame the Democrats. Ironically, whether true or not, he'd be more correct blaming his long time nemesis, the media and press. |
