Revolve is like Victoria's Secret
There's not much to explain here. Revolve is a company (unlike Dove as an example) that figured out women are willing to spend a ton of cash on rather cheap and simple clothes, as long as the models who're wearing and presenting them are HOT AS HELL.
In the current wave of wokeness this might sound suprising and it kinda is. If every women was as woke as the media makes us believe, a company like Revolve wouldn't be able to sell a single short skirt.
As you can see, this chick (and all other models) is a straight 10. There's no talking around that. Now let's compare that with the current ad campaign ran by the skin care company Dove.
I don't think there's a lot of need for explanations. And don't get me wrong. I would never talk bad about a woman like the one seen above. I just don't care. She can eat 10 cakes a day - as long as she's happy - I'm fine.
But one thing is certain. She's obese. As fuck. And that's a disease that kills 2.8 million people per year. Don't believe me? Read about it on the official WHO website. You konw the fucking World Health Organization. The club everybody is talking about when it comes to Covid deaths. Covid killed like 6.8 million people. Obesity kills almost 3 a year. EVERY year.
Obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, with at least 2.8 million people dying each year as a result of being overweight or obese. Once associated with high-income countries, obesity is now also prevalent in low- and middle-income countries. Governments, international partners, civil society, non-governmental organizations and the private sector all have vital roles to play in contributing to obesity prevention.
So should we advertise to people (almost exclusively women - as there are no ads for obese dudes (equal rights my ass)) that it's healthy and an achieveable goal to be as fat as the woman in the ad? I don't think so. Of course we shouldn't talk bad about any obese person. NEVER. But society should make it crystal clear, that it's fucking unhealthy to look like that model.
I mean they banned commercials for cigarettes aeons ago. But did the opposite on obesity.
Well this went totally off rails. As it was supposed to be about the fucking epic hot babes of Revolve. Well fuck this. Let's watch those hot girls!
