Cayne, glad to hear TOTW is staying! It is probably my favorite thread on this site!
As for the site redesign, although you didn't ask, the main advice I can provide is keep it simple and avoid anti-features. For example, avoid sticky interface components that take up screen space and interfere with reading and viewing. Ditto for navigation components that follow the user around the page - these are *always* an annoyance. In general, where feasible, use static designs that avoid polluting the browser (and computer or device) with mountains of JavaScript code. Yes, I realize single page, dynamically loaded applications are all the rage in web design these days, but Phun isn't the type of site that benefits from such an architecture. Keep it simple. Do not break the browser with anti-features. Keep the performance fast and responsive. And, avoid blocking screen space with sticky, always-on-screen components.
