It's crazy how much problems the stupid downtime caused in the long run, I'm still behind with a lot of things, like emails and shit. Anyhow it's getting better day by day. ...hey everybody, I got a question for you. Do you happen to run into a plain, white page with the text "Database connection failed (phun)" instead of seeing the regular website? This error message appeared several times, while I wrote this update and I kinda doubt, that I'm the one only experiencing it. Maybe it has something to do with the sql limitations...please let me know (in the comments or via email) if you notice this error. ...since our downtime. I call all updates, that contain a gallery and some of my ramblings a "phun update" - just to avoid confusion, since I've obviously posted already two other updates since the crash. Sooo I thought to myself, what's the best way to celebrate this occasion and I came to the conclusion that a bunch of Random Hot Girls would probably be the best idea. ...after a pretty crazy night we're basically back to 100%. We're able to retrieve the latest backups up until the 9th of October 2010, so we have lost just a couple of days, that's pretty great considering the hell this site went through. To sum it up in a short story. Early morning on Saturday October 16th some hackers got access to the management servers of my old hoster. They were able to overwrite just about every server the company owns (over 1000). So basically every client being hosted by that company was offline since that very moment. The company obviously wasn't prepared for such an attack and wasn't able to restore the backups in a timely manner. So most of the clients went to other companies trying to get their stuff online. Since most clients went to the same new company they were swamped with work too. And than we had problems to find the proper backups of our sql database and it was all just a huuuge fucking mess. But as of today 12pm I can happily declare that we're back to 99,8%. The regular Tuesday update will be online within 2 hours. Thanks to everybody who supported us during this hard time and to all our visitors in general, for coming back to phun.org - I'll try my best to keep you entertained. On to the next 7 years - hopefully without any downtimes from here on :)

...so as of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a small appartment, which I bought as an investment. I wanted to buy something since quite awhile, but never really went through with it, because somebody always told me not do it, because of possible problems with tenant and other stuff.
